Our Story
Founded in 1983 as a specialized color matching, concentrate, and dry color house, Spectra Polymers & Color Specialties Inc. has grown and evolved over four decades into a full-service Color House — expanding into compounding and blending in 2017 to meet the increasingly complex needs of the industries we serve. Today, Spectra operates with its administrative office and laboratory in Bohemia, NY and its manufacturing and warehousing operations in Vineland, NJ.We specialize in transforming raw plastics from their white and transparent form into precision color compounds and additive blends through extrusion and blending processes, supporting industries that demand the highest standards in plastic coloration.Our facility is equipped with single and twin screw, extruders, high intensity mixers, and a fully equipped laboratory featuring precision scales, light boxes, and spectrophotometric equipment — plus an extensive inventory of pigments, additives, and resins to match virtually every color and specification need.
